If anyone is interested in riding the pooled clubs 25-the last race in the interclubs series- Alan Sides would like your entries, on an official entry form, at the club meeting on the 7th. On a similar theme anyone wanting to compete for the club 10 championship needs to enter the VTTA 10 on the 2nd Oct.SLRPT

Does anyone have a spare RWCC Jersey or one they wish to sell please.

The condition matters little as I will be using it for Cyclo Cross this Winter!

Short sleeved for preference and about a medium size (4).

Thanks.

We have been asked by Voluntary Action Rotherham whether we want to use their tent at the Rotherham Show on Sunday 12th September to showcase our club and look at recruiting potential members. Any one who can spare some time on this date please let me know a.s.a.p

In case people dont yet know just like to report Ces Lounds, a lifetime cyclist and once a member of roth wh. died last tuesday. His funeral is Monday 23rd Aug at 3.00p.m. at Rotherham Crem. All old time cyclists will remember Ces as a top racing man of the 50's and 60's, a friend and mentor of the late Tom Simpson and and a local legend of cycling world. He was a good friend of mine, he will be missed

Appreciate your help Tony, however ..... St Q does twin with Kaiserslauten, but not sure that Rotherham does. The June 2011 trip is a specific invitation from Riesa - don't know that Kaiserslauten are planning anything similar. There is another French town involved, which Riesa twins with - can't remember it's name - think it begins with V !

Hi All,

Just doing a bit of research in case the Germany trip comes off next year.

There are 2 Twin Towns for Rotherham:-

Riesa - 500 miles North East of St. Quentin, in the far North East of Germany near Leipzig;

Kaiserslautern - 200 miles South East of St. Quentin, quite near the French border and so possibly easier to get to.

I will try and get some more details when I come back from my holidays, which also means I won't be out until Sunday 29th August.

Cheers.
