Born Skegness 1945

I've been cycling since the age of 13, Joining the Rotherham Wheelers in 1990.

Competed in numerous Time Trial Events, including Tandem Time Trial's.

I am now Treasurer for the club, helping to organise events, visits, and trips abroad. I can thoroughly recommend cycling, especially with the Rotherham Wheelers

   STEVE

I joined in 2006 and immediately went on the trip to France. I didn't know any other members, but I was made so welcome.
There is a great camaraderie in the wheelers and, I'm looking forward to competing in 2009
We're looking for new members all the time, whatever standard.  Anyone interested in joining us why not come along to our Sunday cycle ride. SW

I hate riding a bike, but its better than being dragged around Meadowhall! I cycle to work each day - because its quicker than the car and is easier to park!

Born: 1968, Sheffield

I enjoy cycle racing as a sport, along with my beloved Sheff Utd, and cycling as a hobby and a way of keeping fit.

As I used to cycle out with my mate and fellow rider Jon (Dallo) he got me to join the wheelers in 2007. I don't get out with the club as often as I'd like to, But I'll keep pushing the pedals untill time allows me to re-join the group.  SF

Born 1974, Rotherham

I joined in 2009. I didn’t know anyone and everyone made me feel welcome. I started on the Sunday run, thinking I was no good. It was amazing to see how well I was and how well others help. Needless to say I am faster and fitter and that’s thanks to the brilliant information and encouragement I am getting.

My greatest achievement has been to cycle John o’groats to Lands End in 2007. This I did on my touring bike, camping/B&B, all on my own. Which was an achievement in itself as I nearly went mad. LR

John Dallinson

Having joined the Wheelers in 2007 my cycling ability has come on leaps and bounds. I used to push big gears all the time and wondered why my knees constantly hurt, then a voice behind would yell in a military like way "Jon change down and spin those legs". 'Sorry Dave I keep forgetting'.

Advice is given to get the best out of you, and to make sure you enjoy your cycling without it becoming a pain or drag just to keep fit.
