ROTHERHAM WHEELERS CYCLING CLUB est.1920 

 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Bringing cycling to all levels of riders, and encouragement of healthy lifestyles through education, friendship, teamwork and fun. The Rotherham Wheelers Cycling Club is a not for profit organisation working to support cycling growth and education in Rotherham. The Club is an ambassador for Rotherham, participating in town twining events at home and abroad.

Details of Courses

 

Cuckney – Carburton Circuit (7.5m)

Start on A60 approx 400yds north of Cuckney village, then southbound to Cuckney, turn left on A616 to Budby TI, Turn left on B6034, straight on at next TI and continue to Carburton crossroads.  Left on unclassified road and continue through Norton to Cuckney to finish near to Village Hall. 

HQ – as per normal Cuckney 10

 

Cuckney-Budby-Worksop Circuit (14.5m)

Start on A60 approx 400yds north of Cuckney village, then southbound to Cuckney, left on A616 to Budby, left on B6034, straight on at next TI, continue through Carburton crossroads and head north towards Worksop.  Turn left onto Worksop Bypass, left at first TI onto A60, keep left at A619 roundabout and continue on A60 to finish at the start.

Dinnington –Lindrick circuit (12.5m)

Start on Swinston Hill Road, through Woodsetts village, left on Owday Lane, left on A60 through Carlton-in-Lindrick, and Langold, left on B6463, left on Leys Lane and left back onto Lodge Lane to finish past Rugby club near top of hill.

HQ – Rugby club

 

Cuckney – Half Moon Circuit (13m)

Start at normal Cuckney 10 start, on A60 south of Cuckney village and proceed north through Cuckney village to A619 (Worksop) roundabout.  Turn left on A619 and head west through Darfoulds to Whitwell Common.  Turn left onto unclassified Gapstick Lane (towards east Clowne) and at junction with A616 turn left and head east through Creswell to finish just prior to entering Cuckney village.

Ranskill – Mattersey (9.4m)

Start on A638 just south of Ranskill crossroads close to Cemetery and head south A638 through Torworth and Barnby Moor, over railway bridge to Sutton Cross Roads.  Left on Sutton Lane and continue through Sutton to Mattersey.  At T jct in Mattersey village centre turn left onto B6045 towards Ranskill and finish just prior to railway bridge approx 0.5m east of Ranskill.

Cuckney –Worksop – Carburton Circuit (18m)

Start at normal Cuckney 10 start, on A60 south of Cuckney village and proceed north through Cuckney village to A619 (Worksop) TI. Turn using the TI and re-trace outward route to Cuckney Village, turn left on A616 to Budby TI, left on B6034 to Carburton, straight on at next TI and continue to Carburton crossroads.  Left on unclassified road and continue through Norton to Cuckney to finish near to Village Hall.

Crows Nest Course (10m)

Ranskill – A614 – Crows Nest – A638  - Blyth (A1 roundabout) and return.
